Meet Kelly! Low-cost online counselling ($40-100) for individuals and couples, starting May 2022

Kelly Schill, Student Therapist

Kelly Schill is completing the practicum portion of her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree with Yorkville University. She identifies as a white, fat, queer cis woman. Kelly utilizes an integrative approach that incorporates narrative, existential, depth psychology, and cognitive behavioural techniques, with an emphasis on mindfulness.  Her practice is built upon the foundations of trauma-informed care, anti-oppression, Health at Every Size (HAES), and culturally informed service. Her interests include working with creative clients and individuals in the LGBTQIA2S+ community, and she has a particularly deep understanding of asexual spectrum concerns. She is gender affirming, weight inclusive, and sex positive. Kelly is especially interested in supporting adults living with anxiety, depression, mood concerns and self-esteem issues; as well as couples who are struggling and seeking relationship support.

Outside of her practicum, Kelly works as an editor, resume writer, and personal tutor specializing in supporting university-level ESL (English as a Second Language) students, and adult students with learning disabilities. She has worked with students overseas and enjoys travelling and experiencing the world. She loves writing stories, painting, meditation, yoga, long walks through the forest, and spending time with three wonderful cats.
